The Department of Chemical Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Berhampur, Odisha, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) for a temporary, institute-funded position on the project "Synthesis of Bioinspired Nickel-thiolates Complexes for Electrochemical Conversion of CO₂." The project is led by Dr. Subal Dey, Assistant Professor.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry with experience in Bioinorganic Chemistry, Organometallics, and Electrocatalysis, in line with MoE guidelines dated January 31, 2019, and October 04, 2019, or as per the funding agency’s guidelines. The initial engagement period is one year, extendable based on performance. The monthly remuneration will be as per institute norms.
Applicants should be proficient in ligand designing and synthesis, modern characterization techniques (NMR, HRMS, IR, GC, XRD), and Schlenk techniques. At IISER Berhampur, we're seeking a highly qualified individual to join us as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF). As per the guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Education (MoE), dated January 31, 2019 (F. No. 12-2/2019-U1) and October 04, 2019 (F. No. 51-07/2019-TS.VII Vol. -II), or in accordance with the specific directives of the funding agency, applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, with specialization in areas such as Bioinorganic Chemistry, Organometallics, and Electrocatalysis. This position is based in Berhampur and offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at IISER Berhampur.
Pay Scale for IISER Berhampur Recruitment 2024
The engagement period for this position is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension for an additional year contingent upon progress and performance. The fellowship/remuneration offered per month will adhere to the norms established by the institute.
