The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), operating under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, seeks applications for the position of Research Trainee (Observations) at Vainu Bappu Observatory (VBO), Kavalur.
Three positions are available with an age limit of 26 years and a requirement of M.Sc in Physics/Astrophysics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. Candidates with prior experience in astronomical observations/telescopes/data analyses will be preferred. The remuneration offered is Rs. 30,000/- per month, with the job requiring night-time astronomical observations lasting up to 12 hours.

Qualifications Details for IIA Recruitment 2024
