The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations has issued the revised ICSE 2025 syllabus for Class 10, with modifications made only to the English curriculum. Students can access the latest updated syllabus for Class 10 ICSE 2025 on the official website, cisce.org.

To download the ICSE Class 10 Syllabus 2025 PDF files, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website: www.cisce.org syllabus 2025 Class 10.
- Click on the 'Examination' tab, then select 'ICSE Examination'.
- Scroll down and locate the link labeled ‘ICSE Syllabus for Class X’ 2025.
- Choose the desired ICSE 10th subject and click on its respective link.
- The ICSE Class 10 2025 syllabus PDF will begin to download.

ICSE 10th Syllabus 2025 for English
English exam includes two papers namely, English Language & Literature. Both papers comprise 100 marks each including 80 marks for theory and 20 marks for internal assessment. Students have to solve each paper in 2 hours' duration. Check the ICSE Class 10 English language and literature syllabus below-
Paper 1- English Language
In Paper 1, there will be 5 types of questions-
-
300-350 words composition to evaluate the student's ability to describe, narrate, report and present ideas. The correct usage of punctuation, syntax, grammatical accuracy and spelling will also be assessed.

Write a formal or informal letter with the correct format and the body of the letter with emphasis on appropriate vocabulary etc.

Write an e-mail or short notice based on the provided information.

Unseen prose passage- Students have to answer the asked questions by reading the provided passage in about 500 words. They will be required to show an understanding of the words/phrases in the context in which they have been used.

Short answer type questions to evaluate candidates' knowledge of functional grammar, structure and English usage.
Paper 2- Literature in English
In this section, questions will be asked from the prescribed textbooks of Drama, Prose and Poetry-
