A walk-in interview is scheduled for 30th May 2024 to fill various positions. The available positions are Junior Medical Officer (2 UR posts), SRF (Food and Nutrition) (2 positions), and Senior Technical Assistant (4 UR posts). The age limit for the first two positions is 35 years, while for the Senior Technical Assistant, it is 30 years.
The monthly consolidated salary is Rs. 60,000 + Rs. 15,000 (FDA) for Junior Medical Officers, Rs. 44,450 + Rs. 12,000 (FDA) for SRF (Food and Nutrition), and Rs. 32,000 + Rs. 12,000 (FDA) for Senior Technical Assistants, all on a tenure of four months. Required qualifications include an MBBS/AYUSH/BDS degree for the Junior Medical Officer, a Master's degree in Food & Nutrition or related fields for SRF, and a graduate degree in relevant social or science subjects for Senior Technical Assistant, with additional desirable experience.
Another walk-in interview will be held on 31st May 2024 for the positions of Project Assistant (Phlebotomist) and Field Worker. There are 3 Project Assistant positions (1 SC, 1 OBC, 1 UR) and 8 Field Worker positions (4 OBC, 3 UR, 1 SC), with an age limit of 30 years for both roles.

Qualifications Details for ICMR-NIN Recruitment 2024
Junior Medical Officer:
- MBBS/AYUSH/BDS Degree from a recognized university and registration in the respective mi in alist to work in the field and able to understand local language.
- Masters in Public Health OR minimum of one year of experience in field or community studies.
Senior Research Fellow:
- Master 's(M.Sc./MPH) Food & Nutrition, Home Science and willing to work in the field and able to understand local language.
- One year experience in conducting field or dictary recal data collection).
Senior Technical Assistant:
Graduate in Anthropology / Social Science/Sociology/ Science (Biochemistry/Micro- biology) / Social Work from a recognized university with minimum two years' of experience or Post Graduate degree in above specified subjects will be considered as two years of experience and willing to work in the field. Experience in drawing blood sample, processing blood sample in field studies.
Project Assistant:
Graduate in MLT froma recognized university OR DMLT with One year relevant experience (blood samplecollection) OR B.Sc (Nursing) OR Two years nursing with one year of relevant experience (blood sample collection) AND willing to work in the field and able to understand local language.
Field Worker:
- 12th pass in Science subject and willing to work in the field & able to understand the local language.
- Minimum one yearexperience in data collection from field or community.
Age Limit for ICMR-NIN Recruitment 2024
- Junior Medical Officer: Not exceeding 35 years
- Senior Research Fellow: Not exceeding 35 years
- Senior Technical Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years
- Project Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years

Walk-in date for ICMR-NIN Recruitment 2024
- Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following position for the Pan India Study entitled "Diet and Biomarker Survey in India (DABS-I)" funded by ICMR at this Institute on temporary contract basis in SIKKIM. These posts require an extensive travel in the State of SIKKIM to conduct the study.
- The Walk-in-interview will be conducted on 30/05/2024 & 31/05/2024 at Department of Community Medicine, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences, 5 Mile Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim - 737102. Applications will be received from the individuals by hand on thedate of Walk-in-interview between 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
- The Candidates may download the application form from www.nin.res.in and submit the same duly filled in along with one set of photocopies of certificates and one latest photograph and all the Original Certificates for verification failing which their candidature cannot be considered for Interview.
- After verification of the applications, the names of eligible candidates will be informed on the same day for Walk-in-interview.
