Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the temporary position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in Professor Amitava Patra's group at the Technical Research Centre (TRC), IACS, Kolkata. This role, initially tenable until March 31, 2025, with the possibility of a one-year extension subject to project continuation and research advisory committee approval, involves conducting translational research.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Science or have submitted their PhD thesis (with a reduced fellowship until the degree is awarded). Preferred candidates will have experience in synthesizing and characterizing perovskite nanomaterials and knowledge of transient absorption spectroscopy. The fellowship will follow IACS rules.

Selection will be based on academic records, research publications, and relevance of past research. Qualifications Details for IACS Recruitment 2024

Pay Scale for IACS Recruitment 2024
The position of Postdoctoral Research Associate at IACS is equivalent to an SRF position until the PhD degree certificate is submitted. The qualification required for this role is a PhD.
Selection Process for IACS Recruitment 2024
- Applications will be shortlisted based on past academic records, research publications, match of the past research expertise with desired requirements, and other academic parameters, as decided by the selection committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview for the final selection.
- Merely satisfying the essential qualification does not guarantee a candidate will be shortlisted for an interview. IACS holds the full right of choosing a candidate and not selecting any, in case suitable applications are not received. Based on past research experience and academic background, the selection committee holds the right to recommend the placement of the selected candidates as RA-I, RA-II, or RA-III as per DST guidelines.
