Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will administer the online counselling process for IPU B.Tech admissions. The official IPU B.Tech counselling dates have been released on hipu.admissions.nic.in. The counselling sessions for IPU B.Tech admissions will be conducted in multiple rounds, with seat allotment taking place accordingly. It's important for candidates aspiring for IPU B.Tech admission to note that counselling is based on JEE Main scores, with the exception of Biotechnology. Steps followed during IPU B.Tech Counselling Registration 2024
Step 1: Registration Candidates must first register for IPU B.Tech 2024 counselling. Here are the steps involved:
- Provide details such as JEE Main 2024 roll number, name, date of birth, result status, and visual code as displayed on the screen.
- After authentication, enter academic, personal, and contact details.
- Successfully registered candidates will receive a login ID and password for IPU B.Tech counselling 2024.
Step 2: Application Form and Document Upload Login using the provided credentials and fill in all necessary details on the application form, including personal details, contact information, and qualification details.
Step 3: Counselling Fee Submission To participate in IPU B.Tech 2024 counselling, candidates need to pay a non-refundable counselling fee (excluding bank charges). Payment can be made online (via credit/debit card or net banking) or offline (via challan through Indian Bank). Candidates can choose to pay using credit/debit card or net banking and should download the receipt for future reference.
Step 4: Course Choice Filling In this crucial step, candidates must select their preferred courses and institutions in order of preference. Based on these choices and seat availability, candidates will be offered seats. After filling the choices, candidates must take a printout for reference.
Step 5: Seat Allotment Seats will be allotted to candidates based on merit and their choices. Candidates can access the seat allotment by logging into their individual accounts. Those allotted seats must download their provisional seat allotment letter and print it out. If satisfied with the allotted seat, candidates must confirm it by paying a partial academic fee of Rs. 40,000 and printing the receipt. If not satisfied with the allotted seat, candidates can choose from the following options:
- Freeze allotted seat: Candidates satisfied with the allotted seat can choose the freeze option, indicating they do not wish to participate in subsequent counselling rounds.
- Withdrawal and fee refund: Candidates wishing to withdraw from allotted seats after paying academic fees can opt for withdrawal. They will then be considered for a spot round of counselling (if any).
- Sliding of the allotted seat after the last round: The University will conduct a sliding round for seat allocation.
