The Gauhati High Court has released a notification for the recruitment of 12 posts for Nagaland Judicial Service Grade-III. Candidates must hold a degree in law from a recognized university in India and should be below 38 years of age for SC/ST candidates and 35 years for others.
Additionally, applicants must possess working knowledge of one Naga tribe dialect and familiarity with Naga tribal customary practices. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 77,840 to Rs. 1,36,520 along with other allowances.
The application process is online, with a fee of Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates and Rs. 500 for others, while PwD candidates are exempt from the fee. Selection will be based on a Final Written Examination consisting of five papers and a viva-voce. The last date to apply online is 26th May 2024, and the last date for fee payment is 29th May 2024.

Qualifications Details for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024
- Must be holder of a degree in law granted by a recognized University established by law in India,
- Must not have completed, as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications 38 years of age in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes (Inhabitants of Nagaland) and 35 years of age in the case of others.
- Must have working knowledge with ability to read and write one Naga tribe Dialect from amongst the recognized Naga tribes of Nagaland with practical knowledge of Naga Tribal Customary practices;
Pay Scale for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024
Candidates are invited to submit their online applications until 5:00 PM on 26/05/2024 for the filling of 12 (twelve) vacancies (both existing and anticipated) in Grade-III of Nagaland Judicial Service. The selected candidates will receive a monthly pay scale of Rs. 77,840 - 1,36,520/- along with other allowances as per the applicable rules.
Application Fee for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024
All applications must be submitted online through https://ghconline.gov.in/as stated above; any submissions through other modes will be promptly dismissed. The application fee details for candidates are as follows: SC/ST candidates must pay Rs. 250/-, while others are required to pay Rs. 500/-. PwD candidates are exempt from paying any application fee.
Selection Process for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2024
- The Final Written Examination will consist of 5 papers viz. Paper-I, II, III, IV (100 marks) and Paper-V (50 marks and qualifying in nature).
- All candidates who obtain 60% or more marks in aggregate in the Final Written Examination and minimum 35% marks in Paper-V of the Final Written Examination shall be eligible for viva-voce of 70 (seventy) marks. Provided that Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates who obtain 50% or more marks and minimum 35% marks in Paper-V of the Final Written Examination shall be eligible for viva-voce.
- This will be subject to the ratio of 1:3 of the rank wise list of marks obtained by the candidates in the Final Written Examination. The candidates shall have to secure minimum 60% marks in the interview.
- The final evaluation will be in order of merit subject to overall suitability of the candidate. Selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Final Written Examination and viva-voce, subject to the cut off mark indicated above. However, final selection shall be made subject to overall suitability to be decided by the High Court.
- The examination/ viva-voce and all other conditions for appointment shall be as per the Nagaland Judicial Service Rules, 2006, (as amended). The candidates shall have to appear in the examination/ viva-voce etc. at their own expenses, as and when called for.
- Mere inclusion of the name of a candidate in the select list shall not confer on the candidate any right of appointment.

- After submission of candidature the candidate should take a print out of the Fee Payment Challan by clicking the Print Fee Payment Challan Formbutton. The candidates can pay the fee amount after two working days from the date of submission and on or before the last date fixed for payment of fees. The payment can be made at any branch of State Bank of India. The mode of payment is cash only.
