DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization) is conducting a recruitment drive for Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions with 14 vacancies in Rajasthan. For the RA position, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electronics, Physics, or Chemistry, or possess three years of relevant experience after ME/M.Tech, along with at least one research paper in an SCI journal.
For JRF, candidates need a graduate degree in Electronics or Electronics & Communication with NET/GATE qualification, or a postgraduate degree in Chemistry with NET qualification, or in Physics with NET qualification, or in Mechanical with NET/GATE qualification. The age limit is 35 years for RA and 28 years for JRF, with relaxation for certain categories. RA offers a salary of Rs. 67,000 per month for two years, while JRF offers Rs. 37,000 per month for two years, extendable further.

Qualifications Details for DRDO Recruitment 2024
Research Associate:
- Ph.D in Electronics OR having 03 (Three) years of Research, Teaching and Design & Development experience after ME/M.Tech in area related to Electronics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal
- Ph.D. in Physics OR having 03 (Three) years of Research, Teaching and Design & Development experience after post graduate degree (M.Sc or equivalent) in area related to Physics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal
- Ph.D. in Chemistry OR having 03 (Three) years of Research, Teaching and Design & Development experience after post graduate degree (M.Sc or equivalent) in area related to Chemistry with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal
Junior Research Fellowship:
- Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Electronics / Electronics & Communication in first division with NET/GATE qualification. OR Post graduate (M.E./M. Tech.) degrees in professional courses in Electronics / Electronics & Communication in first divisio both at graduate and post graduate level.
- Post graduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Chemistry with first division and National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification conducted by CSIR-UGC (NET), MHRD (GATE) or JEST. OR Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Chemical Engineering / Material Science/Polymer Science/ Industrial Chemistry/Nanotechnology in first division with NET/GATE qualification or
- Post graduate in Professional course (M.E./M. Tech.) in Chemical Engineering /Material Science / Industrial Chemistry / Nanotechnology in first division, both at graduate and post graduate level.
- Post graduate degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Physics with first division and National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification conducted by CSIR-UGC (NET), MHRD (GATE) or JEST Graduate degree in professional course (B.E./B. Tech.) in Mechanical in first division with NET/GATE qualification. OR Post graduate (M.E./M. Tech.) degrees in professional courses in Mechanical in first division both at graduate and post graduate level.
Age Limit for DRDO Recruitment 2024
Age not exceeding 35 years for RA & 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH and 3 years for OBC candidates. Those candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category are required to produce the original caste certificate issued by the competent authority. Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates should produce the medical certificate issued from the Government Hospital/Medical Board as the case may in support of her/his claim.
Pay Scale for DRDO Recruitment 2024
- For RA Rs. 67,000/- p.m. & Duration of Fellowship : 02 Years (Two Years).
- For JRF Rs. 37,000/- p.m. & Duration of Fellowship : 02 Years (may be extended further and upgraded to SRF as per rules).
