The Marine Algal Research Station, under CSIR-CSMCRI, is seeking a Project Associate-I for a project titled "Process for the preparation of fine and leather chemicals from seaweed and their applications," funded by CSIR, New Delhi. The role involves field collection and cultivation of seaweed, particularly Ulva, along with the preparation of fine chemicals like 5-methylfurfural, rhamnose, biotanning agents, and biocolorants from seaweed extracts.
The ideal candidate should hold an M.Sc. degree in Marine Science, Marine Biology, Marine Biotechnology, or related fields, with experience or knowledge in seaweed taxonomy, Ulva cultivation, or seaweed collection. The monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 31,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Applicants must submit their applications with supporting documents to Dr. S. Dinesh Kumar at the Marine Algal Research Station before June 4, 2024.
Candidates currently employed in CSIR institutions or other government organizations must provide a No Objection Certificate. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a physical interview at CSIR-CSMCRI-MARS, Mandapam camp, Tamil Nadu, with no TA/DA provided. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project, with a maximum engagement of 5 years across CSIR institutes. Age Limit for CSIR-CSMCRI Recruitment 2024
CSIR-CSMCRI is recruiting for the position of Project Associate-I, with one vacancy available. The candidate should be within the age limit of 35 years, with relaxation as per CSIR norms. Pay Scale for CSIR-CSMCRI Recruitment 2024
- Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for M. Sc. scholars who are selected through (a) National eligibility tests-CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) a selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions.
- Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (a)and (b) above.
Selection Process for CSIR-CSMCRI Recruitment 2024
Interview will be conducted on physical mode at CSIR-CSMCRI-MARS, Mandapam camp, Tamil Nadu for shortlisted candidates and no TA/DA is permissible for attending the interview. Shortlisted candidate list will be informed through mail on 06.06.2024. Applications should be submitted as per the instruction in the application form otherwise application will be rejected.
