CMRL Recruitment 2024 Notification Out PG Diploma Course Vacancies, Check Eligibility at chennaimetrorail.org
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced recruitment for 18 posts of Executive Trainees for a PG Diploma Course. The selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 30,000 per month during the one-year course at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT M), with CMRL covering the sponsorship and tuition fees. Upon successful completion, they will be appointed as Assistant Managers on contract for five years with a consolidated pay of Rs. 62,000 per month.
Candidates must be below 28 years old and possess a first-class degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum aggregate average of 70% marks. A valid GATE score is required at the time of application. There is an age relaxation for OBC(NCL) and SC/ST candidates, and Persons with Disability are also eligible with age concessions.
The application process is online, with a non-refundable fee of Rs. 500 for General and Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates. The selection process involves a valid GATE score and an interview, with final selection subject to medical fitness. Qualifications Details for CMRL Recruitment 2024
First class graduates with a minimum aggregate average of 70% marks * (relaxation by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil / Electrical /Electronics and Communication / Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute as approved by AICTE/ UGC are eligible to apply. The candidates should have a valid GATE score at the time of applying. Final year students who will secure the eligible degree before the commencement of the course can also apply.
Age Limit for CMRL Recruitment 2024
Not more than 28 years as on 09.06.2024 (Relaxation by 3 years for OBC(NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST). Persons with Disability shall be eligible for an age concession up to ten years over and above the age limits prescribed, provided the applicant is otherwise fully suitable and the disability is not such as would render the applicant incapable of efficiently discharging the duties w.r.t post for which the candidate is selected.
Pay Scale for CMRL Recruitment 2024
- Candidates on final selection will be designated as Executive Trainees during the course period of one year with a stipend of Rs.30,000 /- per month, and CMRL will bear the necessary sponsorship and tuition fees for perusing PGDMRTM at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT M).
- On successful completion of the course, the trainees will be posted as Assistant Manager on contract for a period of 5 years in Chennai Metro Rail Ltd with a consolidated pay of Rs.62,000/- p.m. Candidates who excel during the course and secure a CGPA of 8.5 or more will be granted two advance increments upon joining, while others will be granted one advance increment
Application Fee for CMRL Recruitment 2024
- Candidates are required to pay/transfer through online / electronic mode a non-refundable fee of Rs.500/- (For General and Others) and Rs.100/- (for SC/ST) towards the application fee to the below mentioned bank account and upload the NEFT/UPI payment receipt/acknowledgement details in the online application form.
- No application fee for Persons with Disability. Only the disability certificate is to be uploaded online in the application.
- The Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility and time limit before paying the application fee
Selection Process for CMRL Recruitment 2024
The provisional selection is based on the valid GATE score and interview. The final selection will be subject to medical fitness.
