The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has officially announced the date for CLAT 2025 through a notification. CLAT 2025 is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The complete schedule for CLAT 2025, including application dates, will be released soon. The application form for CLAT 2025 is expected to be released in the first week of July 2024. Students intending to appear for the Common Law Admission Test must stay informed about the exam date and other significant dates related to the examination.

UG Eligibility

  1. There is be no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme through the CLAT 2024.
  2. Candidates must secure the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
    1. Forty five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
    2. Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  3. Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2024 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2024 examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  4. The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission, failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the course they may have applied for.
  5. If more than one candidate secures an equal number of marks in the CLAT 2024, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
    1. Higher marks in the component/section on Legal Aptitude in the CLAT 2024 exam;
    2. Higher age;
    3. Computerised draw of lots.

CLAT 2025 Result Date

The CLAT results for 2025 are expected to be announced shortly after the final answer key is published. The consortium of NLUs tentatively plans to release the CLAT result for 2025 in the second week of December 2024. Candidates can anticipate receiving their CLAT 2025 results in the form of scorecards. These scorecards will display the marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam, along with their All India Rank (AIR) and category rank.
