Chennai Port Authority Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Chief Engineer Vacancies, Check Eligibility at chennaiport.gov.in
The Chairpersons of all Major Port Authorities (except KPL) are invited to fill the soon-to-be-vacant post of Chief Engineer (HoD) at Chennai Port Authority, with a pay scale of Rs.100000-260000 (revised). The recruitment will be through the Composite Method by absorption from officers of Major Port Authorities who meet the eligibility criteria specified in the recruitment rules. After three years of regular service, the incumbent may be elevated to a higher pay scale of Rs.120000-280000, subject to conditions.
Selection is based on merit, with the overall grading in ACRs/APARs not below "Very Good." Applications must be submitted through the Online Application Portal (OAP) of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways by July 1, 2024. Required documents include attested ACRs/APARs for the last five years, certificates of qualifications and experience, a no-objection certificate, and an undertaking from the applicant, among others.
The crucial date for determining eligibility is July 1, 2024. Applications received via advance copy will not be considered unless forwarded through the proper channel within 15 days of the application deadline. Ports must ensure timely submission of applications, including necessary documents like vigilance clearance, even if initially incomplete, with further documents to follow without delay. Disciplinary case details, if applicable, must also be submitted.

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engg. from recognized University / Institution. Seventeen years experience in executive cadre in Planning Construction / Design / Maintenance preferably of Port and Marine Structures in an Industrial Commercial / Govt. Undertaking

- Applications are invited from suitable and willing officers, who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post, as per the RR including the Note mentioned in the attached RR. The application may be submitted through 'Online Application Portal" (OAP) of, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways website https://onlinevacancy.shipmin.nic.in.
- No application other than OAP shall be accepted. The candidate will have to submit the printout of application that is already uploaded in OAP to the administrative Port for onward forwarding. The Ports are required to forward the application of the candidates along with the following documents before 01.07.2024 super scribing "Application for the post of Chief Engineer, Chennai Port Authority".
