The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) will close the registration for the Common Admission Test 2024 (CAT 2024) tomorrow, September 13. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to complete the CAT 2024 registration by visiting the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The CAT 2024 admit card will be released on November 4. To finalize CAT registration, candidates must pay the CAT 2024 registration fees of Rs 2,500 for General category and Rs 1,250 for Reserved category. To be eligible to apply for CAT 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or educational institution. The degree should be of at least 3 years duration.

Minimum Marks:
- General category candidates must have an aggregate of at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories must have an aggregate of at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.

No Work Experience Requirement: There is no requirement for prior work experience to apply for CAT 2024.

No Age Limit: There is no upper or lower age limit to apply for CAT 2024.

Final Year Students: Candidates who are in their final year of bachelor's degree program or awaiting results can also apply for CAT. However, they must ensure that they fulfill the minimum educational qualification criteria mentioned above and provide the necessary documents (like pass certificate) by the specified deadline.

How to register for CAT 2024?
Step 1: First, candidates have to go to the CAT 2024 official website i.e. iimcat Registration Tab.
Step 2: Next, click the “New Candidate Registration” button on the right side of the CAT 2024 official website.
Step 3: It will carry the applicant to the "CAT 2024 registration" page. From there, aspirants will have to enter the below essential details such as,
- Name of the Candidate
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Country
- Mobile Number and

Step 4: After entering all the required details, click on the “Generate OTP” button. The OTP will be sent to the applicant's registered mail id. By using the OTP, candidates will have to complete the CAT 2024 registration process.
Step 5: Then log in to the candidate's dashboard and fill the CAT exam application form 2024 with required details like,

- Other Personal Details
- Communication Address
- Emergency Contact Details

Step 6: Fill in the academic/ qualification details of SSC/ Class 10, HSC/ Class 12, Bachelor’s Degree Details, Master’s Degree Details, and Other Professional Degree Details.
Step 7: Once the above process is done, the applicants will need to enter the work experience details if any.
Step 8: Enter other personal details, communication details, and emergency contact details and upload all the required documents in a prescribed format.
CAT Registration 2024? -FAQ
CAT registration 2024 is the creation of the login ID and account used to fill out the application form. Applicants details should be entered in the CAT application, which is available only when a candidate registers.
CAT 2024 registration will take place probably from the first week of August. While filling CAT online form, candidates will have to pay the CAT exam fee. As per trends, candidates belonging to general category need to pay Rs 2400 while it is Rs 1200 for candidates belonging to reserved category.
