The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is a constitutional body responsible for conducting competitive exams to appoint individuals for civil service and administrative roles within Bihar. Established on April 1, 1949, the BPSC has its headquarters in Patna.
The BPSC exam follows a pattern akin to the IAS exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This two-hour exam is valued at 150 marks, with all questions being of the objective type (MCQs) and no negative marking.
