Banaras Hindu University Recruitment 2024 Notification Out Chanakya Doctoral Fellowship Vacancies, Check Eligibility at bhu.ac.in
Applications are being sought for the Chanakya Doctoral Fellowship in the research project titled "Quantum sensing with weak measurement" at the Department of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, under the supervision of Dr. Devendra Kumar Mishra. Funded by the 1-HUB Quantum Technology Foundation, the fellowship offers Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000/- per month for the third year, with HRA provided according to funding agency rules.
The position is temporary, lasting a maximum of three years or until the completion of the PhD program, with the possibility of promotion to Senior Research Fellow after two years, subject to due procedure. Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Physics with a minimum of 55% and must have qualified in at least one national level examination such as CSIR-UGC JRF/NET/GATE/JEST. The upper age limit is 28 years, with relaxation for certain categories.
SC/ST candidates will be given preference in case of equal merit, as per government rules. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience in Quantum Optics/Quantum Nonlinear Optics/Quantum Information. Qualifications Details for Banaras Hindu University Recruitment 2024
The candidates should be M. Sc. in Physics (with a minimum of 55%) and should have qualified at least one of the National Level Examination, i.e., CSIR-UGC JRF/NET/GATE/JEST as per rules.
Age Limit for Banaras Hindu University Recruitment 2024
The upper age limit is 28 years (relaxable for 5 years upto SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). With equal merit, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. Applicants having experience in the area of Quantum Optics/Quantum Nonlinear Onties/Quantum Information will be preferred.
Pay Scale for Banaras Hindu University Recruitment 2024
- The position carries a fellowship amount of Rs. 37,000/- (per month) for first two years and Rs. 42,000/- (per month) for third year. HRA will be given as per the rules of funding agency. The position is temporary and is sanctioned for a maximum duration of 3 (Three) years or completion of the PhD program, whichever is earlier with effect from the date of joining of student.
- The position is co- terminus with the project. After the completion of two years, the fellow can be promoted to the position of a Senior Research Fellow, following due procedure. The Fellow has to enroll for PhD programme at the earliest academic session of the host institute (BHU) after award of fellowship, if not coollod followchin will be terminated.
