Qualifications Details for APSC Recruitment 2024
- Bachelor Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent in B.Com in aggregate or 55% marks in Honors/Major subject (B.Com) or minimum 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent for Arts or Science graduate having Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subject or 55% marks or its equivalent in Mathematics/Statistics as Honors (BA/B,Sc)
- For departmental candidates and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe minimum qualification marks in a bachelor degree is 50%.
- Possess proficiency in computer application and having diploma certificate in computer application with minimum duration of 3 (three) months,
Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2024.
- The upper age limit is relaxable : By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years. By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018. For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age shall be 50 (Fifty) years as on 01/01/2024 for Unreserved category, relaxable further by 3 (Three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (Five) years for SC/ST candidates as per Govt.
- Notification No. ABP. 48/2009/84 Dated 19th December, 2022. Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD) 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January, 2019.
Pay Scale for APSC Recruitment 2024
The scale of pay for positions within the Assam State Government is structured as follows: Pay scale ranges from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 92,000/- per month, with an additional Grade Pay of Rs. 11,000/-. Employees are entitled to other allowances as per the norms applicable to Assam State Government employees, which may vary over time. The designated pay band is Pay Band - 3.
Application Fee for APSC Recruitment 2024
- Under the Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has introduced its Online Recruitment portal in collaboration with CSC-SPV, an organization approved by MeitY. Each candidate applying through this portal will be charged a processing fee of Rs. 40.00/- plus 18% tax, totaling Rs. 47.20/-.
- This fee structure is in accordance with Government Notification No. FEG.32/2016/8-A dated October 28, 2016, communicated via letter No. ABP.60/2014/11 dated February 2, 2018. The application fee varies based on the category of the applicant:
- General category candidates are charged Rs. 250, while SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and BPL category candidates are charged a processing fee of Rs. 40, with an additional tax of Rs. 7.20. PwBD category applicants are exempt from any processing fee but are subject to the same tax amount. This results in total application fees of Rs. 297.20 for General category candidates, Rs. 197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC and BPL category candidates, and Rs. 47.20 for PwBD category candidates.
