The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is recruiting for 61 Assistant Accounts Officer positions, with a salary range of Rs. 25,000-92,000 per month, and additional allowances. Qualifications Details for APSC Recruitment 2024
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent in B.Com in aggregate or 55% marks in Honors/Major subject (B.Com) or minimum 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent for Arts or Science graduate having Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subject or 55% marks or its equivalent in Mathematics/Statistics as Honors (BA/B.Sc).
- For departmental candidates and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe minimum qualification mark in a bachelor's degree is 50%.
- Possess proficiency in computer application and have a diploma certificate in computer application with a minimum duration of 3 (three) months.
Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 2024
- The candidates should be between 21 and 38 years of age as of January 1, 2024. However, the upper age limit is relaxable as follows: by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, extending it to 43 years; by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, extending it to 41 years, according to Government Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated April 25, 2018.
- For Ex-Servicemen, the maximum age is 50 years for the unreserved category, with a further relaxation of 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates, as per Government Notification No. ABP. 48/2009/84 dated December 19, 2022. Persons with benchmark disabilities (PWBD) are entitled to a relaxation of 10 years, regardless of their category (SC/ST/OBC/UR), as per Government Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated January 7, 2019
Pay Scale for APSC Recruitment 2024
The scale of pay for the position includes a pay scale ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 92,000 per month, with an additional grade pay of Rs. 11,000. Employees will also receive other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time. This falls under Pay Band - 3.
Application Fee for APSC Recruitment 2024
- As part of the Digital India initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has launched its Online Recruitment portal in collaboration with CSC-SPV, a MeitY-approved organization.
- CSC-SPV will charge a processing fee of Rs. 40.00 plus 18% tax (totaling Rs. 47.20) from each candidate. The application fees, as specified in Government Notification No. FEG.32/2016/8-A dated 28th October 2016 and communicated via letter No. ABP.60/2014/11 dated 2nd February 2018, are as follows: Rs. 250 for General category candidates, Rs. 150 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, and no application fee for BPL and PwBD candidates.
- However, all categories will incur a processing fee of Rs. 47.20. Therefore, the total fees are Rs. 297.20 for General candidates, Rs. 197.20 for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, and Rs. 47.20 for BPL and PwBD candidates.
